it's called restaurant Portweld now, but when you search in Waze or Google map, you still able to find the same restaurant. Offer 4 to 5 parking at their compound, downstairs is their place where boat come back and upstairs is their restaurant, food is fresh and affordable. Enjoy the scenery while eating.

It’s a hidden gem located inside the Sepetang village, with only a staircase leading up to the restaurant. This place is known as, “Tepi Sungai” and also as “Port Well”. Once you go up the stairs, the view of the river and the fishing boats is spectacular. We enjoyed the sunset view and the cool breeze blowing as the waves crashed against the river beds. Yummy food, lovely view and friendly service to boot! Highly recommended if you manage to find this gem of a place.

Fresh seafood. Clean environment. Price is affordable. Service is fast. We really enjoyed the salted egg crabs . Delicious. Fish also good. Really enjoyed our meals here. Come early, like 11:30am/6pm to get good seating. Come late then full house. Those who knows where to eat won't go to overpriced cut-throat restoren across the street. Even Malays come here to eat.

Christmas Day 2025 Fresh seafood, pricing is fair but cooking is not spectacular. Anyhow we don’t want to spoil the natural flavors of the seafood. As always nice view of the river and the activities around it. Sometimes if you are lucky you can buy seafood as the boats come in at the jetty below the restaurant. Has been our regular place for more than 10 years

Very nice seafood restaurant, seafoods are fresh, delicious cooking and reasonable price. Also a good place to relax after a long drive.

They say when you are in Taiping and want to eat delicious seafood at reasonable price, then you must go to Kuala Sepetang. We were recommended to try eating at Restoran Tepi Sungai (Port Weld Restaurant), so we drove there for lunch. We ordered a few different dishes to try like Salted Egg Crab, Fried Crispy Fish, Boiled Cockles, Stir Fry Kangkung with Sambal Belacan, Salted Egg Squid, Mixed Seafood Noodles, Boiled Spiky Shellfish and Steamed Assam Sauce Fish. Everything tasted delicious and absolutely flavourful. Our favourite dish was definitely the Salted Egg Crab! It was so yummylicious! We also ordered a few bottles of Umbra Juice with Sour Plum and it tasted so refreshing especially on a hot day. Overall, our lunch was very delicious and satisfying. Many thanks to my sister for the lunch treat!

I randomly picked this restaurant in Kuala Sepetang from Google when searching for a place to eat when passing thru Taiping. The neighborhood at a glance did not seem appealing but once I found the village, the place was quite captivating. The restaurant view was lovely. The restaurant staff were pleasant and helpful in helping me decide on what to choose. The food taste and appearance turned out very good, much better than I had expected based on my past experiences eating in village restaurants. The food portion is quite big and the pricing is affordable. I highly recommend the place to diners who are seafood lovers.
